To become a network marketer is about transformation and growth.

It is breaking out of the mold and letting go of the model we are taught to go to school and get a good “reliable”  job.

To make it in this industry you need to be building relationships and bring value to the marketplace.

This is why makes personal development is such an important part of the process of finding success in network marketing.

You need to break free from society’s conformist norms and broke mindset.  That means finding the right mentors to train you to think and behave in different, more successful ways.

It is hard to get to the top without personal development.  These are my 5 favorite books that really helped me when I first got started in Network Marketing.

The Success Principles – Jack Canfield

This book is great because it is broken up into easily consumed, bite size chunks of reading.   This book is full of valuable insights and as you can see from my photo above I have lots sections earmarked.

The business of the 21st Century – Robert Kiyosaki

Robert Kiyosaki is best known for his Rich Dad Poor Dad books.  He is a big supporter of Network Marketing and in this book he shares what makes network marketing so great to be a part of.

The Slight Edge – Jeff Olson

This is a book I would suggest for the newbie to network marketing.  I have read it more than once because it is full of great information.

Think and Grow Rich – Napolean Hill

This book is just a classic and the principals still hold true today.

Crush It – Gary Vanerchuck

Gary has an interesting story of how he grew his family wine business and then transformed that business through the powder of personal branding and the internet.

How to put what you read to use

Now you have 5 books with ideas, insights, and tips from some of the smartest authors, speakers and marketers out there on the subject of network marketing.

The fundamental principles of success are timeless.

  • First off, thoughts precede action—so you’ve got to set concrete intentions and maintain a positive mindset to keep yourself motivated.
  • Secondly, once you’ve decided upon your strategy, you must execute with consistent, daily action—success isn’t an event after all, but a product of your habits.
  • And finally, technology will never replace genuine one-on-one relationships.
