Your life Simplified-How To Plan Your Day
I have come to realize the amazing power that is manifested when you learn how to plan your day. For a long time I overlooked this and it seemed useless for me to get my “to do” list in writing when I knew what I needed to get done in my head. The major problem with not getting my “to do” list written and defined was that was I was losing focus, spinning my wheels and getting sucked into things that were a major waste of my time. After coming across a video from Jack Canfield (which I will share in this post) about how to plan your day the night before I realized the incredible power planning your day has. Once I started this practice I have greatly increased my productivity and made my life simpler.
So I want to share with you how to plan your day so you can accomplish more and become more productive. I am going to share with you the tool that I use to make my “to do” list and share with you the video by Jack Canfeild that inspired me to start planning my day and get more done.
Tips for planning your day-
1. Plan your day the night before.
2. Get your to do list written down somewhere and schedule things so you know the approximate time it will take.
3. Put your list in order of priority.
4. Leave some time in your day for unexpected interruptions or difficulties.
5. Check things off as you get them done so you can see how much you have accomplished.
An online tool to plan your day-
I have been using this online tool for a while and really like it. I wanted to share it with you. I made a short video to share with you this valuable free tool.
Here is a video from Jack Canfield talking about how to plan your day and how it can make a huge difference in your productivity.
I really hope that this tool will help you plan you day, make you more productive and simplify your life. Leave me a comment and let me know if you use this tool or have another great resource for planning your day.
If you have friends on social media that might benefit from this I would appreciate you sharing this with them.

Hi Angela,
thanks for sharing Jack’s video and yours. I wasn’t consistent with that in the past, so it’s really necessary to do that from now on. It’s really important to make a true schedule and not only a to do list, as Jack points out.
Take care

I think Jack has a great point about making a schedule rather than just a to do list. I have found it helps me balance things out better.

Boy I really need this. I have been distracted for the last week and if I don’t rely on my list, I can’t get anything done.

Mine too! I have to do it the night before so I wake up and know what I am doing or I just don’t get as much done as I should.

Hi Angela,
Great post. I loved the remember the milk site and I’ll check it out! I am pretty much a write it down girl. I like being able to check it off the list, make notes, etc. but having everything linked to my phone and in one place would be so helpful. Thanks for sharing your tip!

Hey Angela,
This is a great tool. I was looking for a good to do list app and this may be it. Only thing is it isn’t compatible with Blackberry but I can use e-mail alerts so I can still make it work. Thanks for sharing.

Great Post Angela! Thank you for the awesome tip! I definitely agree on planning the night before. I use to scatter my day around and never feel like I accomplished anything by the end of the day… until I actually created my planned day the night before.
I always do my Top 5 To Do Tasks first then add in any daily, repetitious tasks through out the rest of my day! Has been a definite life and business saver!
Thanks for the awesome tips!

Time Management is such a tricky thing. I am a believer in priority management as that is really what managing time is all about…the “what we do” in the time we have. We only have 24 hours in a day and we cannot alter that…so planning and preparing is critical to our lives and our businesses. Thanks for the new tool to look more into. Always looker for a better tool! VaNessa
