Ingredient List for Network Marketing Success

Alright I must admit I have food and cooking on the brain.  While I was thinking over some delectable morsels in my head and dreaming up tasty recipes my thoughts meandered to my network marketing business.   When those two trains of thoughts merged this blog post was born.  I was prompted to put together a list of the perfect ingredients for network marketing success.

Here are the four ingredients I think are musts for network marketing success.  A pinch of commitment, a dash of focus, a spoonful of consistency and a heap of patience.

A pinch of commitment: To be successful as a network marketer it requires commitment.  It takes a long term commitment to put in time and effort and to stick to it.  No one who has made it big in network marketing has done it overnight.  Just like any other business it takes time to build.  A lot of people fail because they believe that network marketing is a place where they can get rich quick without a lot of effort.  There is a lot of money to be made in this industry but you have to be committed to your business for the long term.

A dash of focus:  Focusing on what you want to accomplish and setting goals are vital ingredients to your success.  Get your plans on paper and it will help you have a sharp focus.   If you don’t have solid plans it is easy to get distracted, off track and derailed.   Without setting goals and focusing on what you need to do to get there you could be going in circles.

A spoonful of consistency: To be successful in network marketing you need to take consistent action.  Whether you are working on your business part time or full time you need to be consistent.  You will find it hard to achieve great results if you work hard for a week and then take three weeks off.  In a traditional business you couldn’t take three weeks off and expect results and it is no different in network marketing.

A heap of patience: Patience is something you need a lot of in a network marketing business.  The results of your actions do not always happen overnight.  Working with and building up your customer base takes time.  Building up your web presence and reputation online requires effort and time and will take time to build.  You might also find that you talk to people about your products or opportunity and it takes them weeks to months to decide to commit.  You will hear the word “no” a lot but you can’t let that get you discouraged.  Be patient, work hard and you will start seeing results.

I hope you enjoyed this ingredient list.  What would be on your ingredient list?

  4. Love the analogy with food Angela. How true it is that we need all four ingredients to be a success. A heap of patience is what I am using a lot of lately in all my recipes.

  5. Angela,
You picked some of the best ingredients to get us through almost any situation that gets cooking in our network marketing businesses.
Our favorite ingredient is consistency. You are correct that we are willing to be consistent for our job, but not for our way out of the job. It’s more important that we are consistent for ourselves. If we aren’t doing something, even if it’s small, as close to everyday as possible, we will lose our drive and ambition to make our business work.
Thanks for pulling the best ingredients together for our delicious dessert, the best part of the meal and the best of our lives. Network marketing can give us our time freedom and our financial freedom and there’s nothing better than that!
Thanks for your great post, Angela!

Hey guys! I agree that time freedom and financial freedom are the best parts of network marketing. I also agree that we have to consistently be working on ourselves. It is so important to be learning and moving forward. Thanks for your comment!

Mmmm, sounds like you’ve cooked up a winning recipe for success! I love your creative spin on this post, Angela. I always say that to be successful in network marketing, you must be committed to self-development, and then you must take consistent and persistent action. And you certainly better be modeling your actions after someone who’s done what you need to do and has what you want to have! :) I love the addition of patience. SO important! Oh, and last thing….to move things along a bit quicker, infuse your actions with passion! :)

First I want to say “Great Blog”
This post reminds me of “The Slight Edge” everyday meeting your daily goals
and in time it will pay off and you will be noticed on the Internet!

I love this post because I’m a foodie always thinking what I can cook up next.
I send to look at recipes the same way. If you follow a recipe success will come, but you leave the backing powder out will the cake look the same? No.

    Great post…
I’m so happy to have found your blog!
    Warm Regards
    Debby

Very Nice Angela, I like the A spoonful of consistency best. If anyone wants to achieve any level of success, it is going to take consistency. Working a plan or system until you get good at it and then working it to produce the results needed for success. If that is good cooking, it will bring home the bacon . . . so to speak. Too much fun.
