Build a Big Money Making Business Selling Picks and Shovels
There are several strategies when it comes to building an online business. You can dig for Gold or you can build a big money making business like the smart business people did during the California gold rush. The greatest wealth during the Gold rush was not in the Gold but in the tools, so those who sold the picks and shovels came out the big winners.
When you sell vitamins, drinks, potions, lotions or any other consumable product you most certainly can be successful but with those items your niche is limited. When you have a tool that empowers and helps anyone in any niche grow their business you stand to make a lot more money.
Imagine being able to offer your product or opportunity to the 30 million people in direct sales. Do you think it would be easy to sell those people a great, affordable tool to build their business? Yes, because most people who are in direct sales would be interested in an affordable tool to help them make more money and grow their business.
There are a whole lot of great tools out there that you could sell. My favorite happens to be IWowWe because it is a great tool at an affordable price and it has a great compensation plan. It has allowed me to build my brand, make stronger connections and save time and money on my marketing.
If you have been only digging for Gold it might be time to consider selling some picks and shovels. Check out IWowWe here.

Hi Angela,
What a great way of introducing Affiliate Marketing. It just makes sense for anyone involved in Network Marketing to be involved with some type of Affiliate Program. As you point out, what better way to reach a wide audience with a solution to their problems. There are several months throughout the year where I actually do better with my affiliate programs than with my primary business.
It’s a great way to fund my advertising as well. Great article, thanks!

Angela,
You are so right. The picks and shovels business is where the real money is at anway. Just about every top earner I know eventually places their network marketing business on the back-burner while they build a huge training business.
Names that come to mind include Bill Britt, Dexter Yager, Jonathan Budd, Mike Dillard, MLM Brothers and so many more.
That’s why I do what they do. If if works for them, it can work for anyone.
Thanks for the great post. I enjoyed your blog; first time here.
