Use Attraction Marketing for Network Marketing Business Building
There are several schools of thought when it comes to building your network marketing business. You can get leads, and grow a down line using different approaches. One approach is the growing your business using “old school” marketing methods. Using the old school method could be compared to hunting. As a hunter you are out there looking for your prey and going after every kind of prospect. Your chasing everyone you know, every acquaintance you can think of. If you just hunt enough people you have to catch a few right?
The problem with the hunting approach is your “prey” or prospects are put on the defensive. Like hunted animals they don’t want to be caught and run the other direction when they see you coming. You might find people don’t want to talk to you anymore because all you are doing is trying to sell them on your “amazing opportunity”. While your opportunity may be fantastic you might not get a chance to let people know that because everyone is hiding from you, avoiding being caught in your scope.
Now, hope is not lost because there is a whole other way you can go about marketing your business. This alternative is to use attraction marketing and rather than aggressively pursuing everyone in site you work to attract people to you. You are more like a farmer rather than a hunter. People are more likely to approach you and see you as a resource rather than running the other direction when seeing you.
When you use attraction marketing you work similar to a farmer as you work hard on your business to make it grow and produce bountifully for you. You sew the seeds of relationships and allow friendships and associations to form and grow. This way of marketing makes it very easy to share your opportunity and products with people because they already like and trust you. They are infinitely more qualified because you are not hunting them and trying to sell them something they don’t need. They have found you and want what you have to offer. All you have to do is position yourself where they can find you and then be a good resource for their solution. The seeds have already been planted with these people and you just have to do a little harvesting, tend to them and watch your business grow and flourish.
So if you compare being a hunter chasing down someone who does not want to be caught with a farmer just reaping the harvest of sewing the right seeds you can see which one is a lot easier.
One thing you need to know is you can and should be aggressively building your business behind the scenes, just not aggressively pursuing people. So some things to consider are how to create an attractive brand that people are drawn too, how to market so people in your niche find you and connect with you and how to create an share valuable content for the people you would like to connect with. Think about how to use attraction marketing to attract the right people to you who are eager to hear what you have to share and not about going after people so they are dragged kicking and screaming to be force fed your information.
So if you have been trying to figure out a better way to gain prospects and customers this is a great method to use. Work on farming rather than hunting. Work on nurturing relationships, not killing them.

Hi Anjela,
I seriously believe your point as you mention: You sew the seeds of relationships…
Patience is virtue. With continuous diligence, our crops will bear fruit.
After all, people join people, and not your MLM. Or your product. Those things
can vanish some morning, and what you have left is just the quality of the bond
you’ve built with your tribe.
That will carry you through those troubled waters, if they happen. And it can.
Even to the best of our leaders – Ask Ty Tribble. It just happened to him.
His MLM vanished just last week.
No matter what system, mentor, or MLM you have, bank your biz on the farmer
aproach – grow people!
Like you so correctly point out, Anjela!

Angela,
Magnetic Sponsoring is what pulled me over to be able to brand myself. It introduced me
to blogging and all the wonderful things that allowed me to succeed.
Even though I think Mike Dillard’s new programs really disappointed me, MS will always
be the first thing I recommend someone.

Atrraction Marketing is such an ethical way to do business. When people come to you, there’s a much better chance they’ll actually go to work and stick with it.

Hi Angela,
This is the best explanation of attraction marketing that I have heard. And of course, the concept is way better than trying to go around selling to people who don’t want to be sold to. I am still very new to this, but when I was “newer” (!), this is one thing that attracted me to internet marketing to begin with — the fact that part of the whole mentality is that I touch people’s lives even when they don’t pay anything. The “helping others” aspect is very attractive on its own. Thank you for sharing this and putting it into language that makes it really easy to understand and explain to others.

Angela, attraction marketing is often over looked, I love appreciation marketing too. Great info here for pulling in clients. People do business with people they know, like and trust.
