When you set up your Twylah page not only do you get a nice looking page to share your tweets you will find some amazing benefits as well.  Here are some of the reasons why you are going to love this!

Simple Blog Content Creation, Use the 3 P's

 Blog Content Creation Made Easy

blog content creationIf you are a blogger most likely you have had writers block at some point. There can be  challenges to always coming up with good, fresh content. I recently read the book Unmarketing by Scott Stratten, I highly recommended it by the way. In the book he talks about idea creation and I think he shares a great way to structure blog posts.

I want to share this super simple yet highly effective strategy Scott shares in the book for simple blog content creation. That is using the 3 P’s for every post you write. The 3 P’s are:what’s your point, prove it and perform it.

For each post begin by writing the point and the information readers will get by reading that post. Same concept as what you were probably taught in English class. Tell them what you are going to tell them, tell them and then tell them what you told them.

Next spend some time  to prove your point and provide valid points and facts to back up the point you are trying to prove. I think personal stories are great to use here.

Lastly perform what you are sharing. Do some sort of demonstration to prove your point. There are lots of different ways to do this effectively. Talk your audience through something, share some screen shots or even do a video or screen cast.

Using this simple formula to structure your blog posts will help you create great content, quickly and easily that your readers will appreciate.  Have any strategies of your own that you have for easy blog content creation?  I would love to hear it, leave a comment below.

The Top Twitter Tools For Network Marketers

The Top Twitter Tools For Network Marketers

“Give us the tools and we will finish the job!” – Winston Churchill

Twitter is a great tool to find not only customers but leads for your business. You definitely are going to find the most success when you interact with people and start building relationships on Twitter not just using it to post links. To maximize your Twitter account and have more time to get personal with people there are some tools that will help you maximize your account.

Take time to explore these tools. Some are paid, most are free, most are clever, some are useless.

There are tools for ‘tweeting’ your blog posts, automating messages, automatically following people, tweeting your photos and videos, tweeting your location, posting news, giving stats, researching people, searching tweets, almost anything you can likely think of!

Here are 5 free tools you will find useful when it helping you bu
1. Bit.ly : www.Bit.ly is the tool Twitter officially uses to shorten every link you post, to make links fit in the short Tweets easily. If you join Bit.ly yourself, however, you can shorten your own links and track how many clicks you get. Everyone on Twitter notices no difference, but you get a nice dashboard containing all your stats. This let’s you to see which kind of tweets are the most effective, allowing you to focus more on those. For example you might find your witty posts get more clicks than your “BREAKING NEWS!” posts.

2. SocialOomph : SocialOomph.com is the best suite of automated Twitter tools you can find for free. SocialOomph, previously named TweetLater, allows you to schedule Twitter posts for future dates and even recurring events. For example: You could set up the next 12 months of Twitter messages, 5 a day perhaps, and let the system post them at the specified times. You can also set it to post things like your “Merry Christmas!” message every year on December 25th, and you never have to think about it again.

3. TwitterFeed : If you have a blog of any kind, or a flickr account, or social bookmarking account, or anything you update periodically, then you likely have an RSS feed that you can publish on Twitter. An RSS feed is just a tech term for the latest posts you publish online somewhere. RSS means your latest additions can be extracted and posted or linked to elsewhere on the web. TwitterFeed.com can take your blog address and automatically publish all future blog posts you write to your Twitter profile. Within about 30 minutes of publishing an article on your blog your Twitter followers will know about it. This is another way to fill your Twitter profile without having to actually do any extra work.

4. TwitBacks : TwitBacks.com is the one tool out of these 5 that will have an immediate affect on your Twitter branding and make you stand out, which is of course essential for getting followers in the first place. You can put a larger photo of you, along with your web links and contact info, down the left side of the image, and set the colors for the rest of it to match your website. As you want your Twitter profile to stand out and grab the attention of other users it is important to customize everything about it you can. A custom background from TwitBacks.com is the highest quality background you can make, very quickly, and for free.  If you want something even more custom I design Twitter backgrounds for people that will match your brand.  Learn more about my design service here.

5. A Mobile Twitter Client :Whether you use a BlackBerry, an iPhone, or just a regular phone, it is important to set it up with Twitter so you can post on the go. There are dozens of apps for the iPhone in the app store, TwitterBerry and UberTwitter for the BlackBerry, and SMS updates and the mobile webpage version for standard phones. Being able to tweet when you are out in the real world [for example: "Just going into a meeting with a client!"] will help to show you as professional and approachable.

I would love to hear other Twitter tools that you use and that you find helpful.  Please leave me a comment below and share the tools you love.

A Tool to Get Massive Buzz For Your Ebooks or Products

I have recently found a great tool that I love to get mass exposure to my ebooks and products. If you are looking to create a big buzz for a product you created this is definitely worth looking into.

The product is called pay with a Tweet and the name really says it all. Basically people are granted access to your product or service for the price of a Tweet. Once they tweet about your product they are allowed to download it. It is a win win because if you are offering a product of value they get it for free simply by Tweeting about it and you get more exposure for your product.

This is a short video the company put together that explains how it works.

Pay with a Tweet – An overview from Leif on Vimeo.

I would love to hear if you have used this product and what you thought about it. Leave me a comment below and tell me how it worked for you.

How to Get Blog Traffic Using Unique Strategies Part 1

Get Blog Traffic by hosting a blog contest

Get Blog traffic

No one can resist a contest, whether it’s a drawing for a free lunch at your favorite fast food restaurant or a month’s admission to the nearest 24-Hour Fitness. The same is true online. To get blog traffic contests have two main advantages: They draw new visitors to your site, and they are a great way to reward your existing readers and customers for their loyalty.

There are three main steps to running a contest to get blog traffic:

Deciding on an appropriate prize.

Planning the format.

Announcing the contest.

Promoting the contest.

That’s it. Of course, there’s a bit more to it than that, so let’s get into these blog traffic tips:

1. Choosing a prize.
There are two schools of thought on prize selection: You can pick something that’s universally attractive, or you can choose something that’s complementary for your market. Which you select depends on your goals.

A universally appealing prize is something that virtually anyone would be interested in, like a gift card to Amazon, a piece of electronics equipment, or cold, hard cash. The advantage of a universally appealing prize is that you will draw tons of eyeballs, and that can bump your traffic stats. The drawback is that many of those visitors may not be interested in your site beyond the ability to win free cash or a free iPad and will disappear as soon as the contest is over.

A prize that’s applicable to your market is more preferable if you want to get blog traffic that is TARGETED and per-qualified. For instance, if you run a diaper delivery service, you might offer a prize of a free month’s service, a baby sling, a gift certificate to Babies ‘R’ Us… things new parents would find appealing. Obviously this will draw more valuable visitors to your blog, although they won’t be in such large numbers.

2. Planning the Format.

How, what, when and where?

Now that you have the prize chosen, what will your visitors have to do in order to win it?

Obviously an important element of planning your contest is creating a way to capture the traffic that visits your site. The most common way to do so is to ask people to join your email list to be entered to win. Another option is to ask people to leave their email address, with the knowledge that they may receive future communications from you.

3. Announcing the contest details on your own blog.
When you announce your contest, make sure to include all the details, such as how people will enter, when the contest closes, and how the winner will be chosen and notified (Tip: If you have people visit the site to see if they’ve won, you’ll make sure they visit at least one more time!). If you received the prize as a donation from a sponsor, you may need to disclose that fact in “the fine print” on your site.

4. Promoting the contest.
If a person gives away an iPad on the web and no one enters, does it make any noise? No. To get attention, to get blog traffic, to get customers, you have to make some noise. This means talking up your contest and encouraging others to do the same.

At the bare minimum…

  • As mentioned above, post about the contest, but don’t do it just once – write at least a few blog posts about the contest.
  • Tweet about it several times.
  • Add it to your Facebook page.
  • Use any other of your social media tools to get the word out.
  • Mention the contest on any forums or message boards that you participate in.
  • Ask friends in your industry to include a note about the contest in their ezines.

Other ideas…

  • You can also give extra entries to entrants who also Tweet and/or post about the contest on their blogs.
  • Think about creating a small blog button for people to add to their sites (make sure it’s clickable and hot-linked back to your site).
  • If you’re giving away something huge, write up a press release and submit it to appropriate media, online and off.
  • There are also industry-specific sites that list contests of interest to that niche, so submit your contest for added bang.

One caveat: The bigger the prize, the bigger the promotion. You may burn people out or disappoint them if you make a big deal about a contest to win a new toothbrush!

Contests don’t have to be complicated. A prize, a set of instructions, a little buzz, and you’ll be raking in the rewards when you get more blog traffic in a matter of days. Good luck!

Stay Tuned for another post tomorrow on more unique ways to get traffic to your blog.

Twitter Is About Quality of Followers Not Quantity

Twitter Is About Quality of Followers Not Quantity

Twitter Followers

Why quality followers on Twitter are important- Quality is something you want to focus on much more than quantity.  You could have a large following without quality followers and that is not going to get you very far.   If you have a lot of followers who don’t pay attention to you or what you have to say you are spinning your wheels.  You want quality followers  in your niche who you can build relationships with, who will list you and who care about what you tweet.

How do you find quality followers on Twitter-  There are a few tools I use to find quality people in my niche.  They are each great tools with something different to offer so you might want to check them out and see if they fit your needs.

Tweet Adder- Tweet adder is a great way to find people in your niche on autopilot.  It makes it extremely easy to find who you are looking for and follow them.  You can search for people by what they have listed in their profile, what they tweet about or even their location.  Then you can save those people so that Tweet Adder will follow them automatically for you.  This is such a great way to find laser targeted quality followers.  Tweet adder does the hard work for you and all you have to do is start interacting with them to build relationships.     Tweet adder is something you have to pay for but if  you use Twitter to build your business it is well worth it.

search.twitter.com- This is a manual way to go and find quality followers in your niche.  This is more time consuming because you are going through each person one by one but still a great way to find quality people on Twitter.   This site is extremely easy to use.  You just go to the site and enter whatever keyword you are searching for.  It will list everyone who has tweeted using that keyword, along with their tweets.  From there you can retweet them or go check them out and see if you want to follow them.

We Follow- We Follow is almost like the yellow pages of Twitter.  You can list yourself using your city and interests which makes it easy for people to find you and makes it easy for you to find quality people you want to follow.  So to find quality people to follow on this site all you do is search for keywords in your niche and bingo you have new great people to start interacting with.

So these are some great tools to help you find quality followers but it is really up to you to develop quality relationships with your followers.  A few ways to do that are be sure you are interacting with people, retweeting people’s content, posting quality information and using hashtags so quality followers can find you.

I would love to hear what you think, do you have other methods to find quality followers on Twitter.  Leave me a comment and let me know.

If you enjoyed this post I always appreciate you sharing with your friends on Facebook, Twitter or your favorite social media site.
