If you need a little push in the right direction and are looking for something inspirational and motivational these quotes are a great pick-me-up. Sometimes hearing a few positive words can change your course and really move you. Here are 10 quotes that have that I think if you take to heart have the power to transform you. Enjoy!
3 Keys to Success Online
There are at least 3 keys to success online and in planning your work on the internet. These 3 steps can be applied to just about any plan, and when coupled with the right amount of determination and perseverance, will result in success! But remember, you must persevere through the dry spells and difficult times. Everyone has hard times and this is just a fact of life. The key is to keep working toward your goal and never give up.
Keys to success online-Action
One of the biggest keys to success online is taking action. One of my favorite quotes by Chris Widener says it best, “your short term actions multiplied by time equals your long term accomplishments.” Everything you do either takes you closer to, or farther away from your desired result. Consistent action in the right direction will produce results. It is the law of sowing and reaping. You reap what you sow. In other words, you get what you deserve not what you need. Plant enough seeds and you will find growth. Ask enough people and someone will join or buy what you are offering. Never leave the sight of a goal without taking action. Plain and simple, consistent action is one of the keys to success online.
Keys to Success Online-Discipline
This one is not just one of the keys to success online, it is one of the biggest keys to success in anything you want to accomplish in life. Discipline is what you need to get you to where you want to go. If you want to lose weight you need to be disciplined in how you eat and in your fitness, if you want to be good in a sport you need to be disciplined and practice, if you want to find success online it is no different, you need to be disciplined. Success online does not just happen overnight contrary to what some people lead you to believe. It takes hard work and dedication. You can’t build any sort of business or presence online by doing it inconsistently.
Keys to Success Online-Risk Taking
Of the 3 biggest keys to success online this one is the hardest, you have to be being willing to take risks and even be willing to fail. Failure can actually be a good thing because failure is one of our greatest teachers. Some of us never even get started because we’re so afraid we might fail. We’re afraid to even try to make our dreams a reality. It seems safer to stay in our unhappy circumstances, because even though we aren’t satisfied, at least they are familiar and comfortable. The unknown is scary. But if we don’t try, we’ll miss out on the chance to make our lives better. Progress and advancement in life is not gained by sitting meekly on the sidelines; we need to actually get in the game and start playing! The only true failures in life occur when we give up or don’t try at all.
If you are looking to become successful online it is within your grasp you just need to be willing to take action, be disciplined and be willing to take risks. While these are 3 of the biggest things that I think are keys to success online there are a whole lot of other things that will contribute to your success. I would love for you to share other things you have found to help you become successful online. Leave a comment below and share your thoughts.
Amazing Lessons You Can Learn From Millionaires
Amazing Lessons You Can Learn From Millionaires
If you take time to listen and are willing to spend time talking with people who are where you want to be you can learn some amazing things. If you want to get somewhere in life sometimes you have to learn from the people who have walked the path before you and are at the destination you want to be. When you get the chance to meet those people who are where you want to be I would say shut up and listen, soak in all the knowledge that they will share. See what they have done and if you can pick their brain for tips that might be helpful for you. I was recently able to meet and chat with a women who is in a position I am working towards in my life. We had a phenomenal chat and I was left some pearls that helped me and will surely help you in business and life.
Here are some great things I learned when talking with her.
Be a million dollar thinker. Most people get caught up in the “how” to do something. When they don’t have the answers they start second guessing and sabotaging themselves from the start. Million dollars thinkers do not operate that way. Once they make a decision they look for the solutions. They create a vision and a plan.
Make sure your goals are congruent with your top 3 values in life. I love this one. How many times have you been presented an opportunity and the only thing the person could tell you is how much money you”re going to make? For example, some people might not be successful in the real estate foreclosure market because they would feel like they were taking advantage of people during hard times. However, another person in that exact situation might view themselves as being an advisor to someone who would otherwise lose their home and get nothing from it. As you can see it’s the same situation but each person has a different value system. This is not about right or wrong. You simply want to be clear about your personal values and make sure your business is in alignment.
Even when you”re down to your last twenty dollars you could be one idea away from success. Have you ever been at a fork in the road and had to make a decision? I know I have. For me, I knew I was working doing something that was just not right for me and I was stressed, depressed and got sick. After being on a job that was making me sick I had come to my breaking point. I knew them I too had a decision to make and needed to come up with a Plan B.
Make yourself a personal promise. Many times people are not just afraid of failure but success. As a result, they are paralyzed by fear and never reach their potential. In the interview my friend talked about how on a sticky note she would write ONE thing she would do that day before she went to bed. Some days it would be a big task and other times it would be a small action but still moving her towards success. Is there something you have wanted to achieve but are afraid to step on faith? What if you took just a small step today toward that very goal? Pick up a packet of sticky notes and the next time you feel afraid just take one small step. If it worked for this millionaire it can work for you.
Expect that it will happen. There is a saying that you get what you expect in life. When you have an expectation to succeed it is amazing how things start changing for you. Now the trick is you don’t want to be attached to the process. Commit result to the result and be open to allowing the beauty of intention and synchronicity to work in your favor. Don’t try to control the journey just embrace it.
Build your business for the future. This lesson should be a mantra that is taught for any new entrepreneur. So many people start off simply focusing on how they are going to create income. Don’t get me wrong this is important too. However, if you end up a millionaire with no time, poor health, and no friends or family to share it with would this be success for you? Only you can answer that. However, the truth is you are better off knowing where you want to end up so you know how to design the map to get there. You want to considerate your lifestyle first and design your business around it.
So ask yourself a few questions:
a. How many hours a day to you want to work?
b. Are you willing to work weekends?
c. How much net profit do you want to make each year?
d. How many weeks or months of vacation will you take each year?
e. Will you work when you travel?
The more clearly you define what success in your business will look like in the future the easier it is to ask the right questions to help you get there.
Collaborate your way to success. For many people who have let the politics, back biting and brown nosing of corporate America get to them, it is great to relish the idea of being able to create an empire alone. While on the surface this both looks and feels good the truth is that you can only accomplish so much alone. It is a new paradigm is the way we do business…the virtual company. The concept includes strategic alliances, out team mates and one the most important players the virtual assistant. This person can do things from make travel arrangements, appointments, book-keeping, taxes, update websites, write or edit presentations and almost any other project you can think of. The lesson here is, focus on your strengths and collaborate with others to aid you in achieving your goal?
What does your business need to go to the next level?
Who could you collaborate with to make it happen?
If you want to learn lessons that will add to your bottom-line and your life be sure to spend some time studying the people who have gone before you. They have lots of wisdom to share and if you can get them to chat with you they can be a great resource for you.
I would love to hear what you have learned from spending time with someone who has accomplished what you are looking to accomplish. Leave me a comment below and share that with me.
Amazingly Simple Ways to Transform Your Life
Amazingly Simple Ways to Transform Your Life
1. Work on figuring out your unproductive and destructive habits and replace them with good, healthy habits. One of my favorite quotes is by Charles Noble and he says, “First we make our habits, then our habits make us.” So if you allow a bad habit to continue it will start to define you in a negative way. But if you start choosing good habits it will define you in a positive way. For example if you start choosing healthy habits by eating right and exercising it will make you healthy. I will tell you that working on bad habits and replacing them with good habits had made a big difference in my life.
2. Learn to set goals. Goals will make a big difference because they will help you start moving towards the things you want in life. Brain Tracy in his book Eat That Frog said this, “Goals are the fuel in the furnace of achievement.” You want to be sure you set long term and short term goals to help you achieve what you want in life. I think of short term goals as the building blocks to get you to your bigger goals. So for instance if you goal is to lose 100 pounds that would be a long term goal and maybe smaller goals would be to start exercising 4 days a week.
3. Make your health and fitness a priority. Fitting in time for exercise can be a challenge sometimes and eating right is not always easy. These are things you do need to work on if you want to make a difference in your life. If fitness is a priority you will find time for it and it should be a priority because without health you really don’t have anything else. When you feel good and are healthy you sleep better, your mind functions better and you can give a lot more to whatever you do. As one of my favorite quotes says, “Those who do not find time for exercise will have to find time for illness.”
- Earl of Derby
4. Make written to do lists daily. I can’t great this has been to transform my life and my productivity. I fought this one for a while because I thought I knew what I need to accomplish in my mind. Then I would have days that I would simply waste time because I could not think of what I needed to do next. Having a to do list that I check often has changed that and made me so much more productive and made a huge difference in my life. The way I learned to make awesome to do lists and to make them work for me was through Chalene Johnson’s Free 30 day push challenge. This will make such a huge difference for you if you apply what she teaches. Check out the challenge here-www.30daypush.com
5. Learn to embrace change. Change is something that is not always easy. We all get comfortable with the way things are and don’t want to step out of our comfort zone. That being said change is something that is inevitable and we can either embrace it or fight it. When you can learn to embrace change you can make a big difference in your life. Change is what helps us to push ourselves and improve our lives. When I learned to embrace change is when I noticed a big difference in my life. As Anthony Robbins says, “If you do what you have always done, you will get what you have always gotten.”
6. Take time for rejuvenation. Taking time for yourself to relax and rejuvenate will make a big difference in your life. We all lead busy lives and sometimes we end up as the lowest priorities on our lists. When you can make time to rejuvenate by doing something simple as giving yourself a quite half an hour to read, taking a bath or getting out and talking a nice long walk you will feel refreshed and it will make a big difference.
7. Keep learning. Learning should be an unending process, it is easy to give up on learning after we are done with school. One of my favorite motivational speakers and authors Jim Rohn says that the best money you can spend is on your self-education. He says that if you see the homes of the most successful people they have libraries in them. I know for me to work on continual learning has really made a huge difference.
8. Stop sweating the small stuff. “Worry never robs tomorrow of its sorrow, it only saps today or its job.” This quote by Leo Buscaglia is one to be very mindful of. It is very easy to let worry creep in to our lives and if you can stop worrying and especially over little things you can make a big difference in your life. I know, I grew up with a Mom who worried all the time and thus turned me into a worry wart. Spending your life worrying is not a fun way to live and gets you in one bad cycle. I have found that the less I worry the more I am actually able to enjoy life. It is not easy to completely eliminate worry but the more worry you eliminate the more you will make a difference in your life.
9. Learn to be grateful. Being grateful is such a simple way to transform your life. When you make a shift from always wanting something to being grateful for everything you have you will be amazed at what happens in your life. This can be a major shift in thinking if you are someone who has a hard time being satisfied with what you have. You can start by being appreciative of just the smallest things in your life and slowly shift your mindset.
10. Take time to listen to others. When you listen to others you find that you can learn a lot. I know that most of us just want to talk and be heard but we really need to learn to listen. When you listen you need to make sure you are really concentrating on active listening rather than doing a million things at once and only kind of listening. One of my favorite Proverbs in the bible says, “Don’t talk so much. You keep putting your foot in your mouth. Be sensible and turn off the flow.” I also have heard some people use this great phrase, “God gave you 2 ears and 1 mouth for a reason.”
Now it is your turn. What are some amazingly simple ways you have transformed your life? Leave a comment for me below.
Reaching Success in 3 Simple Steps
Reaching Success in 3 Simple Steps
How do you define success? Maybe success for you is having a lot of money. Or you could define success as being able to design the life or your dreams or having the freedom to live life on your terms.
While people’s definition of success varies everyone wants to find the success they are looking for. The reality is I see people all the time that want success yet remain in the same place in life. Do you feel you are you one of those people? Obviously if you’re a person looking and trying to better your life you want to be on the winning side.
Being successful can mean many things. My definition of being successful is designing your life and living a life of freedom. For example, I have always wanted to design my dream occupation, go after my goals, work from home and be able to spend more time with family. I consider myself very successful.
Success does not mean to look better than the people around you. I believe it comes from within and how you perceive yourself and your life. Success is something that you do not have to show on a daily basis. Success is how you live your life.
Here are three tips on being successful:
Create a Vision of Yourself-Having a vision is the first and most critical step of any successful plan. Create a vision of what you intend to do. Write down how you want to see yourself 1 year from now. Think about how your life will look. Having a vision will help you focus on what you want to achieve.
Take up Good Habits and Break Unproductive Habits-Always read and learn about the world around you. Think an opportunity through and do not be impulsive when an opportunity presents itself. Eat well and exercise. After all everything you do starts from within. Be in good health and don’t take your good health for granted. Add fitness to your life. Learn to handle distractions as there will plenty of distractions to address. Don’t use distractions as an excuse to fail.
Enjoy your road to success. The path will be filled with adversity. Keep your sense of humor because you may experience very tough challenges along the way. Be responsible, try and control your time by being as effective as possible.
Remember success is not free and it does take sacrifice. The price you pay is time and effort. Success is hard but rewarding (even during the chase for success). To be successful you have to work hard, educate yourself and take action.

Live a Successful Life By Doing These 4 Things
4 Things You need to Live a Successful Life
While there are many components to living a successful life, there are few major things that can make all the difference between living a life of success and a life filled with mediocrity or failure.
I wanted to share with you the 4 things that stand out as the biggest keys to a successful life.
Be disciplined- I think is by far and away the most important of the 4 I have listed. If you want success with anything you do in life you have to be disciplined. If you want to lose weight you need to be disciplined in exercise and eating right. If you want to do well in a business you need to have discipline to put in the work. As one of my favorite authors, Jim Rohn puts it, “We all must suffer 2 pains. The pain of regret or the pain of discipline. The difference is discipline weighs ounces while regret weighs tons.”
Learn gratitude and how to be happy- I believe you live a far more successful life when you learn how to live in gratitude and learn how to be happy. When you live a life filled with gratitude and happiness you learn to celebrate even the smallest blessings in life. Another one of my favorite authors, Brian Tracy puts it this way, “Develop an attitude of gratitude, and give thanks for everything that happens to you, knowing that every step forward is a step toward achieving something bigger and better than your current situation.”
-Brian Tracy
Live life to the fullest- I believe successful people live life to the fullest by learning to live well. Living well means you need to make the most of what you have. To live life to the fullest means not getting wrapped up in the past, worrying about what will happen in the future and learning how to overcome failure.
Learn how to navigate change- Change can be a tough thing for some people to deal with but it is something you need to embrace. In order to find success you need to be adaptable in a variety of situations. It seems in today’s world this is especially true as technology has so rapidly changed us and the way we live our lives. We need to be on our toes and willing to adapt to change.
These are the 4 things that I see a large portion of successful people focused on to live a successful life. I would love to hear what other small things you do that contribute to your success. Leave a comment below and share those things with me.

Are You Waiting for Opportunity to Find You or Going After Opportunity?
Are You Waiting for Opportunity to Find You or Going After Opportunity?
I just had to share this little story I found because I think too often people wait for opportunity to come find them when really you need to go out there, take action and find opportunity.
“A Lobster,
When Left High And Dry Among The Rocks,
Has Not Instinct And Energy Enough
To Work His Way Back To The Sea,
But Waits For The Sea To Come To Him.
If It Does Not Come,
He Remains Where He Is And Dies,
Although The Slightest Effort Would Enable Him To Reach The Waves,
Which Are Perhaps Within A Yard Of Him.
The World Is Full Of Human
Lobsters:
Men Stranded On The Rocks
Of Indecision And
Procrastination,
Who, Instead Of Putting
Forth Their Own Energies,
Are Waiting For Some
Grand Billow Of
Good Fortune To Set Them
Afloat.”
- Dr. Orrison Swett Marden
So are you going to take action to reach the water and thrive or are you going to wait for the water to come to you? Life is full of choices but only certain choices will get you to where you want to be.
This is a great little story with a great lesson so please feel free to share it with your friends on Facebook, Twitter or your favorite social site.
Impossible is Not a Word it is Just an Excuse Not to Try
Impossible is Not a Word it is Just an Excuse Not to Try
How many times have you heard, “that is impossible”? One of my favorite lines from a song is from a group called Kutless and the line is, “impossible is not a word it is just a reason for someone not to try.” Every time I hear this I just think how powerful and true this phrase really is. If you set your mind to it and stop thinking about things as impossible you can really achieve incredible things.
Check out this short video I made:
If you think about it there really is not a whole lot that truly is impossible. In our day and age we have so many free and incredible resources at our disposal so if you are not going after what you want you have to come up with a better excuse than “it is impossible”. It might be hard sure, but things that are hard and challenge us often have the greatest rewards.
I want to encourage you to set big goals and try for big accomplishments because if you stop making the excuse that something is “impossible” and try I think you will surprise yourself. I think you will live a better life than you ever dreamed possible. As I said in my video one the best quotes ever by Vince Lombardi is, “We would accomplish so many more things if we did not think of them as impossible.”
Get out of your own way, put the word impossible to rest and go out there and make big things happen.
I would love to hear your comments below if you have gone after something you once thought of as impossible. Tell me how it has changed your life and how you got started.

Weeding Out Negative Thoughts
Weeding Out Negative Thoughts
Coming from a background of Landscape Architecture and loving to garden I am starting to realize how similar weeding in the garden is to working on your personal development and mindset to overcome negative thoughts and attitudes. If you don’t work on your thoughts negativity can creep in and take over like invasive weeds in the garden. Let’s explore how similar it is to weed the garden and work on your mindset and how you can use this concept to make easy changes.
Weeds- Like weeds growing in a garden, negative thoughts in our mind tend to sprout easily and be hard to get rid of. Weeds are problematic unless you continue to keep up with them, if not tended to they grow out of control and overtake the garden. So it is with your mind and negative thinking, it is far better if you can tackle negative thoughts from the get go and be proactive about them. When a person gets on a negative train of thought it tends to take over
Growth- It is hard for positive things to grow and flourish if negativity has overtaken it. In a garden it is hard for flowers and plants to grow and thrive if weeds have overtake it. They can’t compete with the weeds that have taken over. Similarly if you are dominated by negative thoughts and actions it is hard to break free from those thoughts and cultivate the good, positive thoughts and attitudes.
Beauty-Beauty in the garden comes with a lot of work and cultivation. It comes with being proactive and taking action to keep the weeds out. So it is with our mind. Our minds need a lot of cultivation and work to weed out the negativity and find the positive.
I love these 2 quotes and I wanted to share them because they really help to demonstrate how to weed out the negativity-
If you liked this post I would love it if you share it with your friends on Facebook, Twitter or your favorite social site.
Is Your Glass Half Empty Or Half Full?
Is Your Glass Half Empty Or Half Full?
If you have been around my blog for any length of time you probably know I am a glass is half full kind of person. For a long time though the opposite was true and I saw my glass more as half empty. Life, and what you get out of it can really be quite different depending on if you are a glass is half full or glass is half empty type of person.
You miss out on a lot of what life has to offer when you are a glass is half empty type of person. When you have a negative spin on everything you miss so many of life’s good things. I know it can be so easy to take things for granted and not appreciate even the little things that really are a true blessing. I have been in the place where I focused on the negatives in my life. I have since learned that life is way more fun and fulfilling when you focus on seeing things positively.
So what are some ways you can be a glass is half full type person and focus on the good things in your life?
Take time to reflect on your life and write down all the negative things in your life and then take time to write down the positives. If you really think about the positives I think they will far overshadow the negatives. I know sometimes the positive things can be easy to overlook but try to think positives no matter how small they may seem.
If you are having trouble looking at the positive things in your life consider these things-
If you have a job of any sort you are very lucky even if you are not making a lot of money by some people’s standards. Take a look at www.globalrichlist.com and enter in your salary. For example if you make $15,000 a year you are in the top 12% of the worlds wealthiest people. Bump that up to $35,000 and you are in the top 5% of the worlds wealthiest, go even higher to $100,000 a year and you are in the top .66% of the worlds wealthiest.
If you own and drove a car today you are among only 8% of the people in the world that owns a car.
If you got out of a warm bed today, had food to eat, have a roof over your head, have people that love you, have your health and have freedom you are extremely lucky.
Try thinking positively as a way to greater joy, happiness and satisfaction in your life. I hope that if you are a glass is half empty type person you can start seeing the glass as half full.
